Registered Trade Skills Pathway (RTSP)

A Non-Traditional Apprenticeship Model

Designed for Casual Cooks

The course is called Registered Trade Skills Pathway or RTSP for short. Offered in partnership with the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) and funded by the Queensland Government, this program offers a non-traditional apprenticeship model that has been designed for casual cooks currently working in the industry the opportunity to gain the professional trade qualification SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

Course Requirements

Students must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia and more importantly, must live in Queensland to be eligible for this funding. Also, we ask that all students be 21 years and over and currently employed as a cook or chef in a casual position.

Who the Course Has Helped

Most of our students already enrolled or having completed this course last year, were not able to complete a regular apprenticeship due to many constraints including time, job positions (casual), transient employment (moving from job to job), family commitments (parents or main carers for children), money issues around wages (low income as an apprentice isn’t suitable) and most of all mature aged experienced students not wanting to start the trade as a lowly first-year apprentice!

If this sounds like you, then contact us soon as places are limited. Call now on 1300 843 423.
